Nigeria men and women teams have qualified for the quarterfinals in the beach volleyball at the ongoing 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The two teams have been doing well in the tournament, as Nigeria defeated Mauritius 2-0 (21-16, 25-23) in the men’s event. While Nigeria pummel Benin Republic 2-0 (21-5, 21-5) in the women’s event.

The female team however, suffered their first defeat against Kenya 2-1 (13-21, 24-22, 12-15) in the women’s beach volleyball event at the African Games in Morocco.

The male team beat Egypt 2-1 ( 21-15, 13-21, 15-13) to qualify for the quarterfinals of the beach volleyball event at the ongoing African Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The ladies however defeated Gambia on Saturday to book their place in the quarterfinals.

Nigeria female beach volleyball team had beaten Mauritius 2-0 (21-17, 21-12) to finish fifth place at the inaugural Africa Beach Games in Cape Verde a couple of months ago after losing to Kenya at the elimination stage.
