It doesn’t get easy for struggling TKC as after their defeat to leaders Canon Yaounde last weekend, they are up against second placed this Saturday. Stade Renard versus TKC is an avenue for the five time Cameroon league winners to seek a first League win while Stade Renard hope to make it four wins in five.
Renard comes into the encounter as the more confident side, having lost just one of their four games this season by 1-2 score against leaders Canon of Yaounde. TKC on their path are winless in three matches and have a game in hand against Union Sportive of Douala.
TKC lost 1-2 in their last outing, against Canon while Stade Renard defeated Colombe by 2-0.
Head to Head
It is a fixture which doesn’t happen regularly, as a matter of fact Stade Renard only joined the big time in 2016 in the absence of TKC who had been relegated. TKC returned to the topflight in 2018 but unfortunately because of the abridged nature of the championship since then both clubs only met twice.
Each of the sides can boast of one win from the previous meetings thus making their third meeting this afternoon even more exciting.
Renard of coach Gabriel Zabo can compound the woes of the TKC side or the latter revive their season with a win.
Players to Watch
This will be a game for current Elite One top scorer Brice Sindjo Zoe and Roger Temga to show what they are made up of. Both forwards can boast of six goals between them.
The TKC side will depend on forward Kamta Wandji to bring his best performance to the event and why not inspire them to a rare victory having picked just a point from three games.
It is going to be the clash between two very experienced tacticians.
Coach Gabriel Zabo of Stade Renard has been in the business for a while and the same can be said about Simplice Njiki of TKC.
Both men are fans of surprised tactical moves and could display that again today.
