2019 Under-17 AFCON Champion Alioum Moubarak has joined Swedish topflight side Hammarby, kick442.com can announce.
This Pan African Sports agency has exclusively gathered that the former Under-17 of Cameroon forward who has been in Sweden for some time has put pen to paper to secure a switch from Sahel of Maroua bringing an end to a six-year stint with the Northeners.
Origin of the switch:
Alioum’s entourage represented in Cameroon by Mamna Tavou Armelle had recommended the player to Hammarby late last year, prompting the club to dispatch their scout to observe the young forward back in Maroua. Mikael HJELMBERG returned to Sweden with a positive impression and that gave birth to what has mature to a switch to Sweden.

A key member of the Cameroon team that followed their success in the 2018 Central African Under-17 Regional tournament -UNIFFAC with AFCON success in 2019 in Tanzania, Alioum has always being a troubling presence to defenders in the final third.

The 19-year-old former Sahel of Maroua forward featured in all six games to help Cameroon end a 16-year wait for a second Under-17 AFCON trophy in April 2019 but unfortunately missed the that year’s World Cup in Brazil.
He was called up to the intermediate Lions squad in the build up to CHAN 2020 but the teenager wasn’t retained in the end.
A host of the players of that Cameroon’s 2019 AFCON winning squad now ply their trade abroad. Alioum’s move to Hammarby grows the list.
