26-year-old Alhaji Gero scored two goals for his Swedish side, Helsingborg as they defeated Halmia 0-3 in the Svenska Cupen on Wednesday, www.kick442.com can report.
Gero scored the first goal of the game for Helsingborg in the 18th minute at the Örjans Vall, Halmstad.
Andreas Landgren doubled Helsingborg’s lead in the 42nd minute before Gero’s second goal was dispatched in the 77th minute.
The last time that Alhaji Gero scored for Helsingborg was on August 30 against Djurgården in their 3-1 win.
Helsingborg will travel to play Mjällby on October 4 in their next game.
Elsewhere in Europe, Umar Mesbah Sadiq was also on target for Partizan in their hard-fought 2-1 home win over Backa Palanka on Monday. Sadiq scored Partizan’s first goal of the game in the 50th minute.
After seven games, Partizan occupied the second position on the Super Liga table with 21 points, six points behind league leaders, Crvena Zvezda.
Umar Sadiq and his Partizan’s teammates will visit Metalac GM on October 3 in their next game.
