Officials of the Algerian Football Federation [FAF] have confirmed plans to give Algerian Women’s football a new look from next season.
The unveiled a number of measures towards improving the nature of the women’s game in the country through a media release this week.
The members of the FAF Women’s football commission met other officials of the FAF this week to discuss the reforms.
In the release, the body revealed its intentions of reforming the Women’s championship, covering the travel cost of its Clubs in the Regional championships and run a youth championship for girls Under the age of 17.
These proposals amongst others have been submitted to the executive committee of the FAF for analysis, approval and implementation.
Created in 2016, the Algerian Women’s Football League is in the early stages of its growth, making such reforms necessary to enhance rapid development.
The Elite Women’s football competition in the North African nation has 16 Clubs battling for the pride of Champions.
