Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon forward Alexandra Takounda could finally be moving abroad after multiple failed transfers from out of Eclair of Saa.
Latest reports from AllezLesLion.net has it that the young striker haa agreed a deal to join Swedish top-flight outfit Djurgardens IF on a one-year deal.
The 20-year is expected to move to the Scandinavian nation to begin a career abroad.
Takounda has been a regular with the senior national team of Cameroon dating back to the 2018 COSAFA tournament in South Africa.
The former U-17 and U-20 Lionesses captain quickly settled into senior international football and was a part of the Cameroon team that participated at the 2019 Women’s FIFA World Cup in France where she caught the attention of multiple admirers.
The Eclair of Sa’a striker has been one of the lead strikers at her club in the last two years.
Takounda scored seven of Eclair de Sa’a’s goals in the Cameroon Women’s Championship last season
Takounda was linked with a move to Paris FC and Dijon during previous transfer windows but the same source now says she will join Djurgardens IF on a one-year-deal.
