Our sources at FK Minsk have confirmed reports from allezleslions.net that 25 year old Cameroonian defender Alvine Njolle has been drafted into the Cameroon squad to face Cote D’Ivoire twice at home and away in November.
The In-form FK Minsk Feminino lady is fresh from completing a double with her club and has been an important part of all good things the club has done since her arrival in 2016.
Kick442.com reporter Afeseh Apong took the lead recently to ask what the young lady had done to be snubbed by coach Alain Djeumfa.
“If selecting players for the national team is based on their performance at club level, then Alvine Njolle should have topped Djeumfa’s list. The 25 year old defender is enjoying the best moments of her career in the books of FK Minsk, in Belarus”. Apong wrote.
The indomitable lionesses have recently had lots of troubles in their defensive compartment, especially on the flanks. Alain Djeumfa has on different occasions, had to rely on Isis Sonkeng, Falone Meffoumetou, Ejangue Siliki, and most recently Catherine Mbengono but in Njolle is a reliable defender who has been doing the job especially at a time when “key defender”. Estelle Johnson is out of competition.
Her statistics for club (FK Minsk), speaks volume of Alvine’s qualities and the added impetus she can bring to a team.
Alvine’s Performance This Season :
Alvine has had 1478 minutes of play for FK Minsk this season, and has been on the score sheet once. She has already surpassed her last season’s record of 1183 minutes game time.
Born on May 9, 1994, Alvine Njolle Ngondja joined FK Minsk in 2016, and has had a total of 5049 minutes of football.
Apart from helping FK Minsk clinch several domestic titles in the pass three years, Alvine happens to be one of the only two Cameroonian female footballers, who have taking part in this year’s UEFA women’s champions league (alongside Farida Machia of sporting Braga)
The Cameroon defender helped her team reached the 8th final of the current UEFA Champions League campaign though they suffered a disappointing defeat away to vice champions Barcelona in the first leg game.
The club and Njolle are fresh from winning the league and Cup double.
Njolle is returning for the first time since 2016 but Djeumfa’s bizarre decision of late to invite top players and keep on the bench leaves the public eagerly patient to see if she will be given the chance to play.
