Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade has said her final goodbye to Norwegian Toppserien side, Avaldsnes at the end of her contract with the Club, www.kick442.com reports.
Ajibade, 21, sent the message on her Instagram page showing that she will be leaving Avaldsnes after helping them finish third at the end of the 2020 Toppserien season.
“I am glad to win with this team, Avaldsnes. I appreciate every moment spent with the team – the love, support, unity, cohesion, teamwork, friendship, and a lot more have been overwhelming for the past years. I wish the entire team success in the seasons ahead. Miss you all. Much love.” Ajibade posted.
Rasheedat Ajibade scored seven league goals for Avaldsnes in 2020 which was her personal best with the Club since joining them from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side, FC Robo Queens in 2018. She also scored two goals in the Norway Cup.
Avaldsnes won bronze with Ajibade on Sunday after a 4-0 defeat to Sandviken which ensured that the Club missed out on the UEFA Women’s Champions League place and the league title.
A move to a bigger Club by Ajibade will be expected in the coming days given her impressive and improved performance with Avaldsnes.
