Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade was sent off for her second bookable offence during her Spanish Primera Iberdrola side, Atletico Madrid’s 3-2 win over Huelva on Sunday.
Ajibade received her first yellow card in the 63rd minute before picking up her second yellow card two minutes later.
She has scored five goals in 13 league games this season and will miss her side’s next game against Deportivo Alaves.
Goals from Anita Marcos (penalty) and Mayra Tatiana Ramirez had given Huelva a two-goal lead.
Atletico Madrid recovered from the shock of being two goals down and a player down to score three late goals from Ludmilla and Deyna Castellanos (brace).
The team maintained its third position on the league table with 34 points from 16 games and will next face Osinachi Ohale’s Deportivo Alaves on January 30.
