Rasheedat Ajibade made the Norwegian Toppserien Team of the Week for the second consecutive week after assisting Avaldsnes in defeating Arna-Bjournar on Saturday.
The 2-0 win ensured that Avaldsnes moved up to the second position on the league table with 23 points in 11 games. “Rash” on Saturday assisted Elise Hove Thorsnes for Avaldsnes’ all-important second goal in the 58th minute at the Arna Idrettspark, Indre Arna. That performance ensured that she makes the team of the week for matchday 11.
Ajibade who also made the matchday 10 Team of the Week last week after scoring two goals and masterminding one assist in her Club’s 4-0 win over Ròa is exhibiting her immense talent in Norway.
The former FC Robo Queens of Lagos captain has scored five goals in 11 Toppserien matches this season and will hope to add to her goal tally when Avaldsnes play the league leaders, Vålerenga on September 12.
Ajibade represented Nigeria at age-grade competitions, before making her competitive debut for the senior team at the 2018 West African Football Union, WAFU Cup in Côte d’Ivoire.
