Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon and Atletico Madrid forward Nchout Njoya Ajara has opened her Spanish Women’s top-flight championship scoring account with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The striker scored and assisted as her side shared the spoils against Granadilla Tenerife of Raissa Feudjo in a four goal league fixture.
Atleti came into the fixture with the knowledge their title rivals had enjoyed perfect outings in the matchday.
Both Cameroonians Raissa and Ajara started the game for their sides this Saturday afternoon.
The game got off to a worse possible start for Atleti as the host scored their first goal barely four minutes into the encounter through Pena.
Nchout leveled scores 24 minutes later with a 28th minute effort from range.
Both sides had chances in the remainder of the the half but failed to take their chances leaving the score at parity during the break.
Granadilla of Raissa returned for the second segment looking daring again.
In the 72nd minute, Pena scored her second of the afternoon, making it 2-1 in favor of the host with 18 minutes left.
Nchout Njoya Ajara started the move which led to a late equalizer in the 90th minute as she played in winger D. Castellanos to level scores.
The game ended on a 2-2 score handing each side a point for their efforts on the day.
Ajara has scored three goals and assisted twice in all competitions since arriving Spain less than six weeks ago.
Fourth-placed Atletico with 35 points from 18 games host Santa Teresa in their next league game on Wednesday while seventh placed Granadilla travel Espanyol.
