Niger Tornadoes defeated Rivers United FC 2-1 to book their place in the final of the Aiteo Cup and qualify for the CAF Confederations cup.

The Ikon Allah Boys are in their second final of Aiteo Cup in three years.

Tornadoes who had named their coach, Abubakar Bala three weeks ago had knocked out the giant killers, Smart City and now Rivers Utd to reach the 2019 Aiteo Cup final.

Unfotunately, it is mixed feelings for the team as they will campaign in the NNL next season after relegating from the NPFL.

Goals from Kehinde Samson Adedipe 16′ – and Dosso Saib 44′ gave the side the win.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars made it to the final by beating Calabar Rovers on penalties 4-2 after a 1-1 draw. They qualify for their second consecutive Aiteo cup final.

The results mean Tornadoes will get the last slot of the CAF confederation ticket win or lose in the final as the other finalist, Kano Pillars already booked a CAF champions league ticket.
