It was losing efgorst for Africans in the NBA this morning.
The duo of Toronto Raptors stars, Cameroonian international, Pascal Siakam and his Nigerian teammate, Precious Achiuwa could not prevent the Toronto Raptors from falling to another defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies. Pascal Siakam was the top scorer for the Raptors tonight, hitting 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the 91:98 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Precious Achiuwa also contributed 5 points and 5 assists which could not prevent a second consecutive loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies were led by Jaren Jackson 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. The Raptors are now 9:13, 12th seed in the East while the Grizzlies are 11:10, 7th seed in the West.
Another Nigerian international, Chimezie Metu was also in action for the Sacramento Kings who lost 92:117 at home to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Sacramento Kings have just beaten the Los Angeles Lakers in triple overtime two days ago but it was the Lakers that got their revenge. Metu recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. The Kings fall to 8:14, 11th seed in the West while the Lakers are now 12:11, 8th seed in the same conference.
