It was an interesting contest between Senegal and Guinea in the last group stage match for the two teams at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Hall 3.
With the two team needing a win, they went neck to neck resulting in a close call score in the first quarter. 15-14 score in favour of Guinea.
The second quarter proved even fiercer, with Senegal coming back to equal scores at 23-23 to end the half.
The end to end fight continued, but it was Senegal with much resolve and the help of Ibou Dianko Badji with 19 points, 20 rebounds and 1 assists that carried the day to win 55-53 points.
Senegal play Egypt in tomorrow’s semifinal clash.
