The Lion Cubs of Senegal qualified for the final of the Afrobasket U18 Championship and the FIBA U19 World Cup after beating Guinea in the semi finals of the tournament.
Senegal who have lost only to Egypt on it way to the semifinals, showed it strength as it defeated Guinea for the second time in the tournament to qualify for it consecutive final.
The Senegalese team shake off a not too good start at 9-18 in the first quarter to close up the margin before half time at 20-23.
It was Senegal from then on as it took control of the third quarter winning 17 to 7 to end the score at 37-30.
Guinea could only secure 9 more points as against Senegal’s 15 in the final quarter as Senegal’s qualified for next year’s mundial in Finland.
