Guinea couldn’t contain the superiority of host Egypt in the first game of the FIBA under18 Afrobasket Championship.
Egypt defeated Guinea 60-68 on Thursday at the Cairo Stadium with the help of Mohab Abdalatif who secures 42 Points, 7rebounds and 2 assists.
A rather cagey match saw the first phase of the contest end 33-34 in favour of the Egyptians.
Egypt will play Senegal in it next game on Saturday as it battle for the winner’s spot which guarantees a place at the FIBA under 19 championship next year.
