The Stallions of Burkina Faso have promised to avenge their 2-1 defeat to the Indomitable Lions on January 9th during the opening game of the African Cup of Nations.
Both Cameroon and Burkina Faso will face each other in a third place battle, after their disappointing elimination by Egypt and Senegal in the semi-finals.
Ahead of their 5th game against Cameroon slated for Saturday, Bertrand Traore said: “Both teams Cameroon and Burkina Faso are really disappointed not being able to reach the final level of the competition after much hard work. We understand how difficult it is for host country Cameroon to lost at home,in front of her supporters”.
” Deception is on both sides and is what transpires in every game of football. We will endeavour to remobilize ourselves, so as to go get a third place medal”.
“As one of the most experienced players in the young team, the lesson l have been sharing with my junior ones is that of humility at every extend of life and as a team. We look ourselves to be equal, no one feels important or superior to the other. And that is our driving for as a one and united team.”
“We have lock horns against Cameroon four times, and we know ourselves that much. The third place game, will be based on a small detail and in the mindset. Everything will be in the head, if we desire to win. We will put in all we know in the game”.
” Cameroon has good players , l must say l am not scared of them. We know it will be a tough game but like l earlier mentioned we will battle hard for a win”.
Coach Kamou Malo of Burkina Faso and boys are motivated in picking a third place medal, in honor of the afflicted Burkinabé citizens facing tough times back home due to the coup d’etat.
