Ghana Football Association has written to the Confederation of African Football requesting for a change of venue for Black Stars next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification game against South Africa.
Bafana Bafana of South Africa are scheduled to play the Black Stars of Ghana on March 21, 2021 in South Africa in round 5 of the qualifiers.
However, due to the alarming cases of COVID-19 in South Africa, the Ghana FA is requesting the match to be played in a different country.
The Ghana FA sent the request to CAF last week and is waiting for the feedback.
Ghana and South Africa have 9 points each in Group C, while Sudan are on the 3rd position with 6 points but Sao Tomé and Principe are at the bottom of the log with no win after four matches.
