The Under-17 Lions of Cameroon under the guidance of lead trainer Anicet Mbarga Foe have picked up another impressive victory on Tuesday at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo-Cameroon.
In their seventh warm-up game in preparations for next month Under-17 AFCON tournament in Morocco, the Lions faced a non-age category selection from the West Region of Cameroon.
The Lions technical staff opted to test different options and lined up an almost second strick side.
The Lions had the first chance of the game as early as the fifth minute but Diop Kady’s finish went slightly off target.
The visitors regroup and enjoyed a good spell in the game for over fifteen minutes denying the Under-17 Lions team from reaching their goal.
Aaboubakar Nagida and mates steady the ship. Despite the physical dominance of their opponents, the backline manned by Essapa stopped the multiple incursions till the break.
At half-time it was goalless but remained a fixture promising goals.
Both technical benches opted to make changes to their team.
The Lions finally had their breakthrough goal in the 75th minute when substitute striker Bibout found the back of the net.
Five minutes later, another substitute Ndjenge Kombi Richard scored the second before Wassou Goue who also came from the bench completed the scoring with the third goal in the 91st minutes.
The game ended on a three-nil score making it six wins in seven games.
Anicet Mbarga Foe’s boys have scored 22 goals and conceded two in that time.
The team takes a brief break from camp this Tuesday to return on Thursday.
