The Scorpions almost opened scored at the 67 minutes following a 5 metres closed shot from Ibou Omar that was promptly captured by the Chadian keeper. The substitution of goalkeeper Allambatnan by Adaoassou following an injury sustained on the left leg was a strong signal for the Chadian doom.
