24 hours to the Comoros head-to-head clash against the Indomitable lions of Cameroon, head coach Antonio Conceicao and boys have emphasized on the need to be focus and determine to pick the day’s three point.
Speaking to the press during the traditional fifteen minutes pre-match press conference, Ambroise Oyongo said;
“For me it’s a very important game for us. We are positive minded and have all the necessary weapons needed to win any team”.
“I am a Cameroonian, and every player has the right to play for the national team. If today am a substitute, I don’t considered that to be a problem. I am happy the coach found a player who could better handle my position. I recently suffered a severe injury that saw me off from the team. So the most important thing is to play as a team and carry the three point”.
“The fact that almost half of the Comoros team were tested covid-positive is not a problem for us. Remember the lesser a team maybe, the more powerful they are. So we respect our opponents and don’t have to relent our efforts.”
“We have played Comoros twice and won one. We know they will come with the spirit of revenge. However, we remain focused and all we long for is a win,” Oyongo stated before going on to comment about pressure.
“We love to play under pressure, for it will pushes us to play more harder. I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to the owner of the Livs Cabaret following the dreadful fire outbreak witnessed on Saturday.The entire team were all shocked upon hearing the news. And we promise to put a smile on the more than 27 million supporters of the lions by giving them a win.
“And to our brother Francis Ngannou who’s a lion, we say congratulations for defending the nations colours and for making the Cameroonian people happy”.
It is the third time both selections are locking horns.And the Indomitable lions believe thought a tough and daunting game, victory will be theirs.
