The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have a arrived the Mozambican capital city, Maputo to continue preparations for their match-day four 2021 African cup of nations qualifiers fixture against the Mambas of Mozambique.
The delegation including 23 Indomitable Lions arrived Maputo just after midnight of Saturday and moved directly to their base looking determined to finish the job they started on Thursday in Douala Cameroon.
The Estadio Nacional de Zempoto will host the Indomitable Lions versus Os Mambas clash barely four days after the the latter accepted a 4-1 defeat in Douala-Cameroon.
The Mambas return home in the early hours of Friday and held a light training session on Friday, November 13 at the Maputo Estadio National de Zempoto ahead of the 5pm kick off on Monday.
The boys of Luiz Filipe da Silva Goncalves used the evening to review errors of Thursday in Douala and work on basic skills the team needs ahead of Monday’s game.
Mozambique suffered a 4-1 defeat against Cameroon on Thursday in their match-day three confrontation at the Douala Reunification stadium.
The host will be looking to hurt the five times African champions in Maptuto to keep their chances of qualifying for the final tournament in Cameroon in 2022 alive while the Lions are keen on doing the double over the Mambas.
Mozambique are currently second seeded to Cameroon with three points separating them from leaders Cameroon who have recorded seven points in three outings.
Cameroon are host of the competition and have an automatic qualification ticket while Mozambique is hoping to finish at least second in group H to get the second AFCON ticket on offer in the group.
