Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has returned for 2019 Africa Nations Cup finalist, Senegal in the Africa Nations Cup on going in Cameroon after a Covid 19 forced absence.
Mendy, 29 had tested positive for the virus alongside the Captain of the Senegalese national team, Kalidou Koulibaly and Famara Diedhou which had put them out of the first group game against Zimbabwe.
The Chelsea goalkeeper and his mates trained with the team and are now in for selection for action in their team’s last group match against Malawi.
He returns to help his team who are second in the group B with four points as group leaders Guinea who lead with goal difference.
The Taranga Lions need a point atleast to progress to the next round of the tournament.
