Despite picking up a minor knock in his last game against West Ham, Jordan Ayew has been passed fit to start Ghana’s 2021 African Cup of Nations opener against Morocco.
Three days ago, news filtered in that the Crystal Palace forward had suffered an injury that may rule him out of the opening game against Morocco.
Though Crystal Palace had confirmed that Ayew’s injury vs West Ham was just a ‘minor knock’, he didn’t train with the team a couple of days ago.
His addition will bring experience and more bite to a black stars side with about 19 newbies in Cameroon.
The 30-year-old has four four AFCON goals for the Black Stars so far and may add to that tally against Morocco on the 10th of January will Ghana begin their campaign.
