Maritiomo striker Diedderick Joel Tagueu,26 has left the Lions Den for Portugal this Wednesday. The striker who’s AFCON debut has been postponed by a heart problem left the team’s Mercure Hotel in Ismaila after watching his mates beat Guinea Bissau by 2 goals to nil in their opening game 2019 AFCON game.
Indomitable Lions’ Dr William Ngatchou Diagnosed a heart defect in the forward and recommend that the striker get further attention thus preventing him from been involved in the tournament.
Tagueu scored 7 goals in the Portuguese Super league last season but will not be a part of Cameroon’s Lions to defend the 2017 AFCON trophy leaving the team with 22 players after the Federation’s request to replace the forward was turn down by CAF.
