Former Togolese goalkeeper, Kodjovi Obilale was amongst the special red-carpet CAF invitees to watch the finals between Algeria and Senegal on Friday the 19th.
The goalkeeper counts for 35 years but had an early exit in his career back in 2010 when he was one of those attacked in the Cabinda province, Angola just few days before the AFCON 2010. Kodjovi was severely injured and since then has never entered a football pitch to do what he loves best.
The 6 foot 2 and a half inches goalie had played just for 3 teams: Etoile Filante de Lome, CS Queven, GSI Pontivi and accumulated 5 caps for Togo from 2006 to 2010 before the tragic incident.
CAF certainly made the goalkeeper’s day as he had the chance of meeting and having verbal exchanges with idol, Joseph Antoine Bell.
