After the 2-0 loss to Algeria at the African Nations Cup, Sebastian Migne has said his boys were scared and they way they lost was unacceptable.
While speaking with reporters after the match, Migne stated “We were afraid. I accept to lose but not this way. I accept to lose but not the way we played in the first half. We need experience for this kind of tournament. We need to play the game for 90 minutes.”
The Harambee stars who had conceded just once in the AFCON qualifiers looked a shadow of themselves against Algeria as they crambled in the first half of the game.
A penalty from Bournedjah and a goal from captain, Rihad Mahrez in the first half was all that the Desert Foxes needed to get their tournament running in their first match of the 2019 African Nations Cup.
Coach Migne will now turn his focus to their next game against Tanzania to see if his boys will improve on their play.
