Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze have been voted as Total Man of the Match for his performance in Super Eagles of Nigeria quarter final Triumph over Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Chukwueze put the Super Eagles ahead in the 27th minute before Zungu Equalised for South Africa in the 71st minute after Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review adjudged the initial offside as a legitimate goal.

Nigeria had the last laugh as William Troost Ekong last gasp 89th minute goal won the game for Nigeria courtesy a miscalculated corner kick by South Goal keeper.

Samuel Chukwueze was born on May 22nd 1999 at Umuahaia, Abia State, Nigeria. The 20 years old forward right winger proved himself last season to be a lethal attacker with Villarreal in Spanish La Liga.

He scored against La Liga Champions FC Barcelona in a dramatic 4-4 draw alongside Cameroon Carl Toko Ekambi.

Samuel Chukwueze joined Villarreal CF on November 1, 2018 and is contacted to the Yellow Submarines till 2023.

Chukwueze contribution to the Super Eagles quest to win 2019 AFCON is unflinching. He was instrumental when he came from the bench against defending Champions, Cameroon in the Round of 16 to make Nigeria get to the quarter final. His goal against South Africa is his first international goal for Nigeria.
