Ugandan reserve goalkeeper, Magoola Salim Jamal has been summoned by the FUFA disciplinary commission for having made improper and abusive declarations on his Twitter to a member of Parliament (Senate), while Uganda was in Egypt for the 2019 AFCON.
The communiqué carrying this information was published on the 11th of July, and today, the 15th of July is the ‘D’ day for Magoola to appear before the FUFA disciplinary commission with a written response to this allegation, at 2:00 pm local time at the FUFA house boardroom.
The 24-year-old goal keeper who plays for Al Hilal club did not have a touch of the ball in the AFCON. FUFA has made it clear that, failure to appear at the given place and time, the panel would use handy information and take law into their hands.
Salim Jamal has accumulated over 6 caps for the cranes of Uganda, quite understandable with the 2018 CAF best goalkeeper, Dennis Onyango irreplaceable at the moment
In situations like this, the FUFA disciplinary commission might temper justice with mercy if Jamal Salim appears at the location and at the given time to plead guilty and apologize – but anything aside from that with a brash decision could cost him a place in the national team for the rest of his life.
