The baby Lions of Cameroon will this Thursday practice for the second day in the Rwandan capital city of Kigali. Coach Thomas Libih’s boys arrive Tanzania in the early hours of Wednesday and directly went to their base in Dove Hotel in Kigali.The team had a practice session on Wednesday evening at the Stade Mumena (Nyamirambo) and will do another session on a grass pitch this Thursday ahead of Friday’s pre-AFCON tournament opener against Rwanda’s Under 17 team.
kick442.com understands that the head coach of Cameroon wants the team will train on a natural grass pitch ahead of this Thursday.
Rwanda’s Under 17 team lodging Hill Top hotel in Kigali and are involved in the Pre-AFCON tournament organized by Binewa Sports but will not participate in the AFCON because they failed to qualify for the tournament.
2003 Champions, Cameroon will face Tanzania on April 2nd before clashing with local sides Intare FC and Kiyovu FC on the 4th and 6th respectively.
Cameroon is in Group B of the competition and will face joined second most experienced side in the competitions 24 years history in Guinea plus Senegal and Morocco who will be making only their second appearance in the competition. Only Nigeria with 9 appearances have done have been more frequent in this tournament than Cameroon and Guinea who will be entering their 7th Under 17 AFCON in Tanzania.
Coach Libih and his boys will leave Rwanda on the 7th of April directly to Tanzania ahead of the kick off of the AFCON on the 14th of April.
