Madagascar

The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s 2-0 loss at their last group match against Madagascar was their first in nine years when Ghana defeated them.

The Super Eagles loss comes as an upset after 1982′ s 3-0 upset against
Zambia.

The Nigerian team had qualified for the next round after the game before the game but needed to finish top.

The game had seemed an easier game and many has not expected the loss to a Madagascar side who qualified though first amongst others but for the fist time.

Yatarra and Carolus Andrea goals in the first half and second gave the Madagascar side a heroic win.

The win puts the Madagascar team at the top of group B as Nigeria finish second and Guinea qualify as best loser with four points after beating Burundi.

The Super Eagles now wait who they play in the next as it looks likely to be Ghana if they top their group.
