Etoo in the Lions Den


Former Indomitable Lions captain Samuel Eto’o has paid a moral boasting visit to his followers of the present generation this Thursday morning at Mercure Hotel in Ismaïla.

The World Football legend had breakfast with the Lions after chatting with technical and administrative staff members of the team including FECAFOOT boss Prince Seidou Mbombo Njoya.

One of the most celebrated and decorated African footballer of his generation and AFCON winner in the years 2000 & 2002 Samuel Eto’o Fils being one of 7 Ambassadors for the tournament,he has been in Egypt ensuring he uses his position to sell the brand (African football) as much as he can.

“I am waiting for victory against Ghana, because of the quality of players and staffs we have.

“I still remain proud of having the chances to defend my country,so when I have some time I try to spend it with my junior brothers.After the government of this country,I think I am the second supporter of these colours,it’s football but I trust our team”

Samuel Eto’o told the media.

Eto’o won two AFCON titles in consecutive finals against Nigeria in 2000 & 2002 and lost once against Egypt in 2008 and currently the all time leading scorer in the competition with 17 goals scored in 6 different editions of the tournament.
