The media officer of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon Lucrece Djemba has confirmed Cameroon striker Staphane will not be available for Cameroon this weekend in Yaounde when they face the Comoros Islands in the last AFCON 2019 qualifier game.

Reports say Staphane Bahoken picked up a knee injury in the weekend while he was defending the colours of his French Ligue Un club SCO Angers.

Bahoken started in Angers virgin draw game away to Amien over the weekend but was substituted because of an injury.

Bahoken,Cameroon’s scorer in the away game against Comoros will not be fit before Friday’s game and as a result he has been replaced by Greece based  29 year old winger Olivier Boumal of Panionios FC.

Olivier has played 4 league matches this season and 4 in the Greek Cup and he is still looking for his first goal of the season just like his first international goal.

The experienced forward who has featured twice for Cameroon without scoring has played for 8 clubs out of Cameroon.

The injury to Bahoken means both scorers in the 1 all game in September will miss this weekend’s game given that the Comoros will also be without suspended Ben Mohamed.

Kayserispor defender Armel Kana-Biyik is also a doubt for this one given that he limped off because of an injury.

Arnaud Djoum,Idriss Carlos Kameni,Georges Mandjeck and Christian Bassogog have all arrived Yaounde to start preparation for the game.
