Black Stars deputy goalkeeper Felix Annan has told kick442.com that they are improving as a team with every passing game. Annan’s comment comes after Ghana’s picked up their second point of the 2019 AFCON following a goalless draw against holders Cameroon.
“I think it was a difficult game against a very organized Cameroon side,we have improved and need to keep working. We also had our chances but that’s football you convert some and miss some but the most important thing is that we keep a clean sheet today and that gives us confidence going into the all important last group Game against Benin.”
Annan is in his debut AFCON tournament as understudy to Richard Ofori following his wonderful season for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Ghana currently occupies the second spot in the wide open group with 2 points and face Guinea in their last outing while table topping Cameroon with 4 points faces Benin in a winners take it all game.
The Ghanaians had a same start in the competition in 1982 when they won their last AFCON title in 1982 in Libya;the Black Stars played a 2 all draw with host Libya in the opening game before following it up with a 2 all draw against Cameroon and the rest of the competition went on to be a great story for Ghana.
