The draw for Egypt 2019 African Cup of Nations took place on Friday, April 12, 2019 in Egypt with the host treating audience to the site and sounds of Egyptian pyramids at the background.

From 4 Seeding Pots, the draw came up with 6 groups (Group A to F). In group A, host and 7 times champions, Pharaoh of Egypt will face Zimbabwe in the opening game of the tournament before further playing with Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Going to Group B, 3 times Champions Nigeria will trade tackle with Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea.

Looking at Group C, Sadio Mane led Teranga Lions of Senegal will face Tanzania, Kenya and north African Algeria.

Moving to Group D, Namibia will have a tough test as the team will play 1996 champions Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Ivory Coast and Atlas Lion of Morocco.

Criss cross to Group E, 2006 World cup representative, Palancas Negras of Angola will try their luck out with debutant, Mauritania, Mali and 2004 winners Tunisia.

Finally in Group F, the indomitable Lions of Cameroon (5 times Champions) will also play another 4 times Champions in Black Stars of Ghana as well as Guinea Bisau and Benin Republic.

Africa continent awaits another keenly contested tournament and football showpiece.
