Cameroon’s head coach Clarence Seedorf has told the media the team captain Maxim Choupo is fine and will continue work as usual though he was substituted late in Cameroon’s 2 nil win over Guinea Bissau.
The PSG man in his first tournament as captain of Cameroon carried himself around in an exciting fashion making soe interesting runs in the course of the game though without scoring.
Goals in the 66th and 69th minutes of the game from Center Back Yaya Banana and substitute striker Stephane Bahoken was enough to give Cameroon all 3 points to Cameroon.
Choupo went down in the 78th minute of the game and stayed down before being stretchered off and was replaced few minutes later by Olivier Boumal.
Speaking to the media after the game Coach Clarence with a smile said “Choupo is fine and will be involved for Cameroon’s activities in the rest of the tournament.”
The 30 year old former Stoke City man has had his own issues with injuries while playing for country but is okay at least for now.
