Despite needing just a point to secure their qualification for the next round of the ongoing AFCON tournament in Egypt the head coach of the indomitable Lions of Cameroon Clarence Seedorf has made it clear that his team will do all on Tuesday to get 3 points against Benin.
“It is culture to approach every game with a positive mindset,we will be adventurous though being careful at the back,we want to win every match given our objectives to be first in the group and the confidence that comes with that. A team that is ambitious to win the cup can’t go into a game thinking its better to draw or get results that cause you to make calculations.”
Clarence Seedorf’s Cameroon team has picked up 4 points in their opening two group and needs just a point to secure their place as winners of Group F while 3rd place Benin need a better result than Ghana and Guinea who face each other on Tuesday.
Cameroon and Benin are lodge at the Mercure Hotel in Ismaila as they prepare for an interesting clash between two coaches with an AFCON story to write.
Michel Dussuyer now of Benin was Ivory Coast’s deputy coach when they played against Egypt in the 2006 AFCON final in Egypt while Clarence Clyde Seedorf continues to write the first story in his fresh AFCON Journey starting in Egypt.
Cameroon hold the advantage over Benin after recording 3 wins in 3 previous AFCON related meetings between the two sides.
