32-year old Cameroon international and Al Taawoun’s forward Leandre Tawamba Kana was on target this Thursday with an 11 minute goal leveller for his side in their group D game of the AFC Champions League, against Al Duhail that ended on a 2-1 score at the King Abdullah Stadium.
Al Duhail wasted no time in opening the score when Edmilson handed a seventh minute lead, but Al Taawoun levelled scores in the 11 minute through Leandre Tawamba before Alvaro Medran sealed the win at the 86 minute.
Five minutes to end time, Tawamba almost got his second of the night when he fired a low shot but it hit the far post. Kana has scored his 17th goal for all competitions in 27 games and has provided 5 assists.
The former Al -Ahly Benghazi forward had participated in the Indomitable lions embarrassing defeat of the Desert Foxes of Algeria at the MustaphaTchaker Stadium in Blida,by putting up a brilliant performance to the appreciation of the numerous onlookers.Al Taawoun will take on the Uzek Super League Champions on this same on Sunday 10.
