Erstwhile Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda defender, Elvis Adu Wum has revealed to this news agency that, his adventure with Cameroon Elite Two outfit Unisport of Bafang is over.

Speaking in a recent conversation with the news crew, Edu stated that he wanted a new challenge away from the West Region outfit after a somewhat topsy-turvy campaign which saw Unisport between the relegation struggle and a mid table finish throughout most parts of the campaign.

The veteran sweeper spent six years at YOSA before leaving last term says he is excited about a new challenge away from Unisport of Bafang.

“Well, I will like to thank everyone at the club, it doesn’t end as planned, but I gave my all. I am grateful to the fans and coach Benjamin Mongo for the support,” Adu told

The versatile defender made 20 appearances for the 1996 Cameroon Elite One winners, helping them to a 6th-placed before the league was abandoned after a two months fruitless wait for the end of the Coronavirus rife which has punctuated football in Cameroon since the 17th of March this year.

The defender was named in the Cameroon Elite Two team of the month of November and January.

Adu, 2013 Cameroon cup winner is a free agent and can switch to a new club when the next window opens.
