We had a record breaking goal scoring match yesterday yesterday in the ongoing Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup Football Competition at Agbonran School of Science Center in Ede, as GFCC Ede North FC whitewashed Golden Victory FC by 3 goals to 1.
We however return to Egbedore center this afternoon with dogged Warriors of Ido-Osun taking on Ultimate lads from Iragberi. The ecounter is loaded with all prospects of an explosive match as both sides are not unaware of the fact that anything less than outright 3points on the card will be good enough.Ofatedo United, recall, currently sits atop the center log with 3 points in the bag, having defeated Awo United in the opening match of the group by a lone goal. The match starts by 4pm.
Elsewhere, Temidire FC Ejigbo South will be seeking to avoid early showers in the competition against Tanjo Surprise FC, Ejigbo, who surprised Ifesowapo FC 1-nil in the second match at the Ejigbo venue last Sunday. in the first match played last Thursday at the center, Temidire FC, Ejigbo South, had lost 1-0 to Ogiyan city center boys, which makes the match a must win for them to stand any chance of progress to the next next round of the competition.
The annual football fiesta for grassroot footballers is sponsored by the Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State in honor of the first executive governor of Osun State, late Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
