22-year-old PWD of Bamenda central midfielder Ade Mienolf has stated that the outbreak of the coronavirus has affected him and his career. In an exclusive interview with kick442.com Mienolf revealed it isn’t an easy experience.
“This pandemic has really affected me because I am not at a 100% rate. There is no competition.
My body is not in shape while the mind is not fully focused. Footballers only practice now to keep fit. Moreover, training has been a problem. Training alone is much more difficult as compared to training with the entire team.”
The central midfielder who also plays as a defensive midfield role didn’t just mentioned the effect of COVID-19 on him but the world as a whole.
“It has also affected the world because there are a lot of deaths, the world is in chaos and on a standstill. Each day we pray for the infected to be healed and we hope that this pandemic is contained for activities to return to normal.” Mienolf told kick442.com.
Mienolf also suggested players to follow and what he does to keep the body in good shape during this period of recess.
“We have to maintain indoor exercises for the time being. Respect the preventive measures is key.”:Mienolf stated.
The different leagues in Cameroon were halted on March 16th due to the outbreak of the CoronaVirus pandemic.
