Lethal Njalla Quan Sports Academy forward Adang Mveng has continued his brilliant start to the 2020 Limbe Youth tournament with a hat-trick as his side eased pass Ajax Maroua this Monday in match-day two of the Under-18 matches.
The forward climbed off the bench to score the winner in his NQSA’s one-nil win against Real New Bell thus earning a chance in the starting XI this Monday.
The opener came off an assist from Mbassi Zamgbala, with Adang dribbling pass two defenders along the 18 metre box line to strike into the bottom left corner of the keeper.
Ashu Clinton marked his impressive performance with the second goal for the Bimbia boys just before the break.
Upon resumption for the second segment coach Freddy Kouoh’s team maintained the offensive approach.
They won a penalty barely three minutes into the second half. Mveng made it three-nil with his second of the afternoon and third in the tournament.
The forward then completed his hat-trick which happened to be the first of the tournament two minutes from time, beating the goalkeeper before scoring.
The game ended on four-nil score for NQSA who have won two games in two so far.
Speaking post-match the Club’s Technical Director Freddy Kouoh expressed his satisfaction about the team’s performance so far throwing light on the source of the output.
“I believe we are prepared. We have been together with the administration thinking and working together for the past three years. This year all is in in place to ensure that at least all the categories reach the knock-out stage of the competition. The road is still long, we want to do everything to ensure we end the competition in style with at least one trophy this year.”
Mveng has scored four goals in 69 minutes as he played the last nine minutes of Sunday’s game and the full 60 minutes of this Monday’s encounter.
NQSA are well placed to top group D if with a win against Little Foot FC on Tuesday.
