Wanted by many top clubs in Europe, Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi has come out to talk about his future with Real Madrid.
The Moroccan has spent the last two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Real. He break into Real’s first team in 2017, making nine appearances.
His contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2022. The Moroccan has been very careful with his words, concerning his future with the Madrid giants.
“My agent is handling everything. I am not very conscious about it,” the right-back told Cadena SER, concerning his Real Madrid future.
“I don’t know what is still left of my contract with Real. I am happy with what I am doing right now.
“In June I will have to take a decision and it will be a big step in my career. I have not had any contacts with Real Madrid concerning next season, we’ll soon have a discussion on it.”
Hakimi is not very keen on a Real return as Spanish international Dani Carvajal been the preferred right-back of the Merengues.
The 21-year-old Moroccan has rubbished reports that his agent had extended his contract with Real Madrid.
Hakimi is on the radars of Chelsea, PSG and Juventus of Turin.
This season, he has featured in 37 games across all competitions for Dortmund, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.
