Former Indomitable Lions forward Pierre Achille Webo Kouamo has been appointed as assistant coach at Turkish top flight outfit Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 37-year-old retired from playing last year while he was on the books of Nacional of Montevideo in Uruguay.

Webo spent seven years of his playing career in Turkey, playing for Istanbul Basaksehir, Fenerbahçe, Osmanlispor and Gazisehir.

He scored 24 league goals in 54 league games for Istanbul Basaksehir from 2011 to 2013.

The former Mallorca forward will be the assistant of Okan Buruk as the team tries to assert themselves more and more in the Turkish top flight.

They finished second in the league last season and are currently third on the log in the current campaign.

Webo who scored 18 goals in 58 caps for Cameroon will hope to have a glorious coaching career and there is no better place to learn than on the sidelines of the very passionate and exciting Turkish Super Lig.
