Acke Ebenezer, Coach of Instanbul FA

Mount Cameroon of Buea have bowed out out of the 2020 cup of Cameroon thanks to the technical brilliance of coach Ache Ebenezer.

Considered one of the best players to have defended the colours of the current Southwest Regional Championship side, Mount Cameroon FC of Buea, “Django” as he is known by had two spells on the books of the club. He won the cup of Cameroon title with the club in his first spell between 2000-2006.

He returned to the club for another two year stinct between 2012 and 2013 before his retirement.

The wonder working midfielder later retired and joined the technical staff of the till 2017.

Ache kept all these good memories aside and set up a team to hurt his former club on Thursday.

A Goal from Cyrille Patrick was sufficient to get the win for Instanbul FA and the 37-year-old gaffer spoke to after the game.

“We needed the victory, it was a tough game. Yes, it was against my former club but it wasn’t about me. Istanbul FA is an ambitious club so winning against big clubs is a statement of intent. We are calm and will keep working for the next game, we will like to achieve as much as Mount Cameroon in those good old days”: coach Ache Ebenezer stated.

It is the best cup run for newly created Istanbul FA .

It is predictable that Istanbul FA is drawing inspiration from the success of their coach with Mount Cameroon FC of Buea in 2002.

They face Nkamanyi FI in the last playoffs round to represent Southwest Region in the 2020 cup of Cameroon.
