Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon forward and captain Gabriel Aboudi Onguene has helped her Russian Women’s football Club CSKA record a one-nil victory against away at Ryazan.
A 44th minute strike from Valeria Bespalikova who benefitted from an assist from Cameroon’s Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene was all the defending champions needed to pick up the three points which took them to the top of the log again.
The victory helps the Club return to winning ways after dropping two points in their last outing.
CSKA ladies have entered a crucial phase of the season leading Locomotive of the same city by two points with two rounds of matches left in the championship.
They host Zvedza in the penultimate fixture next weekend before and conclude the season at home against title rivals Locomotive in a fortnight.
It has been a great season for Aboudi. She is in the race for the top scorer prize having scored seven goals this term. She is a goal off the perch of the table and has four assist to her credit.
