French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes has drafted 20-year-old Franco-Guinean Abdoulaye Sylla into their professional team.
The young defender who came through the different youth teams of the club was handed his first professional contract at Nantes on Thursday, 29th May 2020 and announced through the Club’s official website.
“FC Nantes is very pleased to announce the signing of the first professional contract of the defender, Abdoulaye Sylla. Arrived in Under 11 in the club of the edges of the Erdre, Abdoulaye Sylla climbed the ladder within the young teams of FC Nantes. He will initially continue his apprenticeship under the orders of Pierre Aristouy and his staff,” the club statement read.
It surely a dream come through for the young and a reward for his hard work through the years at the club.
It has been a busy start of the transfer window for Christian Gourcouff’s FC Nantes as the club has promoted four youth team players in Akram Tsague, Adem Husejnovic, Santiago Eneme-Bocari and recruited Jean Charles Castelleto from rivals Stade Brestois.
