Jean Pierre Nsame

Two Lions recorded a brace each, in their respective club’s in the European continent this weekend. Karl Toko Brillant Ekambi was brilliant as he got 2 of Villareal’s 3 goals that would help keep the yellow sub Marines stay above the zone of no return, on the 17 spot, and raised the goal poachers tally to 14 goals and 6 assists in all competitions, the highest any outfield player at the club has managed so far this season.

Jean-Pierre Nsame and his Young Boys side consolidated their dominance with a parity 2-2 scoreline over bitter rivals, F.C Basel. JP Nsame scored his brace within a twinkle of an eye (4 minutes) and helped his side extend the 20 point margin to 21 over their opponents on the day.

Nsame was in the 23 man squad called up by Hugo Bross, but his only minutes up till this point remains the 4-0 humbling in the hands of the the super falcons, in a dismal world cup qualifications campaign. He has been called up by Dutch conductor, Clarence Seedorf, for an important encounter against the Comoros. With this rich vein of form he could easily pick the role as a starter on March 23.

Toko Ekambi is 26, and he is a holder of an AFCON that was acquired in 2017. The quick goal-hunter also has a bag of trickery in his arsenal. Ekambi has 22 appearances and scored 2 goals, and counting for the national colours.
The former has not been called up for the last game in the AFCON qualifier against Comoros due to suspension.
