Marou Souaibou scored a brace as Cotonsport eased past Dragon 2-0 on a surreal Saturday afternoon at the Bamendzi Stadium in their match-day one delayed fixture.
The match which was not observed in match because of Cotonsport’s engagement in the CAF Confederation cup was played in the presence of close to 300 fans in Bafoussam.
In front of majority of Cotonsport fans, Marou Souaibou opened the scoring for the defending champions in the 32 minute rewarding Cotonsport for their early dominance.
He added a second in the 52nd minute, expertly rounding the goalkeeper after collecting a through ball from Wassou Goue Patience.
The goal made it 2-0 for Cotonsport meant the boys of coach Gabriel Hamann could protect the advantage to record a consecutive victory.
The win makes it eight points from seven matches which leaves them on the ninth spot while Dragon are 7th with ten points.
Coton face Bamboutos FC on Wednesday in Limbe.
