Following the decision to freeze LFPC’s powers to organize competitions, FECAFOOT will henceforth continue to oversee football activities of elite one and two championships.
To this effect, fixtures for match day one have been programmed to take place in some stadia round the national territory on Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th November 2020.
Reigning champions PWD social club of Bamenda will stay at home to welcome Stade Renard of Melong. Meanwhile Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda that finished 6th with 40 points in 28 matches has been excluded from the opening games.

Centenary Stadium Limbe
Union Sportive of Douala will clash against recently promoted side YAFOOT FC Yaounde II at 3pm at the Centenary Stadium in Limbe. Yafoot FC was recently promoted to the Elite one side, finishing second with 42 points after playing 23 matches and are coming in to the elite one side with the taste to drink from the trophy. Union on her part, was Union on her part 8th after 23 matches played recording 39 points during the 2019/2020 football season and will be looking forward to improve on the log.
Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex 1 Yaounde (3pm)
Apejes of Mfou has been pitted against champions of elite side Astres of Douala. Apejes in the prematurely ended season, was 11th on the league table recording 37 points in 28 games. This could be a confusing one for the Mfou boys clashing against New Stars who have not been in action for a season but training have been their preoccupation. New Stars will play as visitors to
Apejes in her first professional game after a year of absence.
Yong Sports Academy Stadium (14:00)
Reigning champions of the 2019/2020 Cameroon elite one championship PWD social club of Bamenda will stay home to welcome Stade Renard of Melong. This will be an opportunity for PWD to fine tune tactics ahead of the CAF champions league. The Boys of coach David Pagou will be looking forward to defending their title as champions, playing 28 games and backing home with 47 points. Stade Renard grabbed 35 points in 28 games rated 13th.
Wednesday, November 11
Mbankomo Stadium
In the center region, AS Fortuna will play host to Fovu Club of Baham at 1:00pm. Fortuna was only fortunate to have escaped the red zone towards to premature end of the season. 34 points in 28 games was the end product of Fortuna’s run. Fovu in this season will want to mount the top five position eventhough they were restricted last season at the 7th place with 40 points in 28 games.
Still at the Mbankomo stadium, Tonnerre Kalara Club will knock horns with UMS of Loum at 3:30pm, shortly after Fortuna vs Fovu. TKC after reigning in the top positions for a while only ended up at the relegation zone, last but one on the league table recording 32 points in 28 games. While their opponent UMS will want to skyrocket the league after ending up being 9th, in 28 games grabbing 38 points.
Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex 1
One of the two clubs who played 29 games during last year’s championship Eding Sports of the Lekie ending the league with 38 points and 10th on the log will battle it Feutcheu FC of Djiko Bandjoun 1:30pm. Feutcheu FC will want to use this encounter to boost up their moral as they continue striving for the top. Djiko FC finished 5th in 28 games recording 41 points.
After the encounter between Eding and Djiko FC, Canon of Yaounde will play host to Colombe of the Lobo and Dja 3:30pm. Colombe during last season finished 3rd recording 41 points in 28 games, 1 points behind second place Coton and 2 points behind first place PWD of Bamenda
Limbe Omnisport Annex 1
In the South West region, struggling side Avion Academy of Nkam will be seeking revival, beginning with Bambutous FC of Mbouda 1:30pm. Avion ended the league in the red line first from top with 33 points in 28 games. It will be a tough game for Avion considering Bamboutos were one of the runners up during the last season picking up 41 points in 28 games 4th place.
New Stars of Douala will once more enjoy professional football in the country after a year of absence. This will be in an encounter vs Panthere (15:30). This will be one of the must watch game in the South West region wherein fans will want to see new tactics from New Stars as well as game changing from Panthere of Nde who ended with league With a slight escape from the red zone, playing 28 games scoring 33 points.
Thursday, November 12
Omnisport Stadium Garoua (15:00)
Second place Cotonsports of Garoua will welcome relegation side Dragon of Yaounde at 3:00pm in the Garoua Omnisport Stadium. Dragon only stayed at the elite one side due the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic which lead to the premature end of the league. Dragon picked up 28 points in 28 games meanwhile Cotonsport who will be representing Cameroon in CAF Confederation cup finished second with 46 points. Cotonsports is the second club in the elite one side that played 29 matcges before the end of the league.
First of its kind 21 teams are going to be competing in the elite one side this season.
